The Ocean Avenue Collection is inspired by New York City in the 1970's and 1980's - reminding us to "celebrate the fun and mischief of summer in New York City... than escaping to Coney Island boardwalk and eating Nathan's with your friends.." as quoted from the co-founder and co-CEO Neil Blumenthal. Well, wherever it may be, summer always has indelible imprint that is recognizable everywhere. So have a look at Warby Parker's Ocean Avenue Collection of sunglasses -- each of the 8 optical frames and 14 sunglasses are custom acetate and all throw-'em-on-and-go, with new hues like Sea Glass Blue, Driftwood, Orange Fizz, and Chocolate Soda. Here are some of my favorites:
Ocean Avenue Eyeglasses
Eyeglasses - Preston in Sea Glass Blue |
Eyeglasses - PRESTON in Pearled Tortoise |
Eyeglasses - Roosevelt in Chocolate Soda |
Ocean Avenue Sunglasess
Sunglasses - Jasper in Newsprint Grey
Sunglasses - Jasper in Orange Fizz
Sunglasses - Jules in Ginger Lemonade
Sunglasses - Jules in Marbled Charcoal

Personally, I love the somewhat vintage feel to the sunglasses - especially the one in Orange Fizz! The colors and shapes of them just gives this sophisticated old-fashioned summer with a modern twist feel to it. And yes of course, I love how these shades from the Ocean Avenue Collection has indeed this "throw-em-on-and-go" feel to it. Casually making a statement!

The glasses look hip. I am sure you will have one of your own soon. Or are they too expensive? I wonder why they used that old dogeared copy of Lord of the Flies for that picture with the guy though.
Those glasses look cool and easy to wear. The different designs show creativity and style.
