OOTD - Shades of Gray

Earrings - Girl Shoppe
Key Ring - Anagon Collection
Leather Bracelet
 Black Ring

Black Cover Up - Lucky Brand
Gray Top - Oxygen
Black Bondage Skirt - Bazaar
Boots - Thrifted

As you all know, I'm not a big fan of light colored outfits. Especially recently coz I have gained weight again. Wearing white, silver, or gray isn't appealing at all. I'd stick to black most of the time. BUT this top beckoned me. You know the feeling that you get while scanning or digging through your closet and this one piece of clothing suddenly sparkles above the rest? Yes.. that kind of moment! This grey top sparkled and begged to be worn. The funny thing is that it isn't mine! haha. It belongs to my skinny sis who likes to wear huge draping tops which suits me just fine coz I get to wear em too. Yay! We don't get to share clothes often but I'm so glad that this Oxygen top fits me as well. I'd totally wear it again if I could. Thanks sis!

So what about you coffeeholics? Have you had some fashion fun with borrowed clothes from your siblings or friends? Or are you particular with your stuff and prefer not to coz swapping clothes just aint your style? Let me know your thoughts! Have a great summer!

OOTD - Year End Positive Reflections

Dress - Vintage
Bag - Tomato
Boots - H&M
Necklace - Girl Shoppe

Hi Coffeeholics! How was your week so far? I hope you are all enjoying the last few days of the year. Usually its the time for most of us to spend time with the family, have family reunions, or meet up with old friends.. Right? Sometimes, its also the time for personal reflection. Things that you have accomplished this year, things that you didn't... Things that you wish that you did. Well maybe its just me. LOL. Thats what I end up doing at the end of the year. I look back and see if I was able to accomplish the goals I set for myself. Not to beat myself up if I wasn't able to do it but to be able to analyze what went wrong and what should I do next year to improve and attain it. I'm not going to share to you all my goals but I will share three things that I'm really happy about that I have accomplished or attained this year.

What Matters Most is How You See Yourself

One of the things that I know I have improved in this area is my Self- Esteem. Its true, how you see yourself matters. Though one of the regrets this year is that I wasn't able to lose weight. In fact I gained! Wahahaha. (kaiyak noh? haha) But still even though I'm pretty happy about myself and my self-esteem is intact. That  is what I have resolved to myself this year. That whatever happens, I will be happy about myself and my self-image. I'm glad that I followed the advice in the picture. I saw myself this year as happy and I can say that I really was this year! Yay for less emo/senti moments. hahaha.

Boracay!
Another thing that I'm grateful about this year is that I was finally able to go to BORACAY! Its been one of my dreams to go there and finally I did.

So that's one of the few things I'm grateful for this year. I have lots more to share but maybe on another post. But just before I publish this post, I of course must not forget to share one major thing that I'm grateful for this year. Which is my "launching" as a blogger! I've been blogging since 2010 but not as active since last Summer. Thank you na rin kay Jen for encouraging me and being my blogger twin.

My cousin Jen and I
ShopgirlJen with Brew of The Day!
She really helped me to become an active blogger! Active in a sense that I was able to attend events, meet new people, and make new friends through blogging! I think I've shared before how much of an introvert I was before. So this for me is a big accomplishment! I know I would never have gotten this far if it weren't for my improved self-esteem. Hehe. So I'm really grateful for all of this.

So dear coffeeholics, what are the things are you grateful for this year? Things that you have accomplished? I bet you have good stories as well! Do please share. And hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays! MWAH!

Boots Alert: Louis Vuitton Rubber Boots Fall 2011

As usual, my fascination over boots has taken a hold on me. Another of my favorite pair of boots bid me goodbye yesterday which really wanted to make me cry. Its a pair of gray boots (random brand) that I bought when I went to the U.S. last year and I feel so disheartened that I cannot wear them anymore. As of the moment, I have to keep my retail therapy in check so I ended up "Thrift Shop Hunting" last night over at my favorite ukay-ukay haunts to pass the time (and hurt.. lol!). Do you know that there are a lot of boots being sold at these shops? Some are really super affordable. I don't go panic buying though coz one has to be really careful when buying boots from thrifted shops coz they tend to look deceiving. Usually they don't last long and fall apart really soon coz those boots haven't been used for a long time already. I will share about my boot hunting escapades in another time but in the meanwhile, I just want to show some boots that I found online while "boot hunting."

I stumbled upon the Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 Collection and went completely bonkers over the LV Rubber Boots. Yes my dears, its LATEX fierce looking rubber boots! Perfect for this rainy season. Check it out!

I also like the coat here!
Love the skirt!
Killer heels I wonder how many inches these are..

I'd definitely wear these boots if I could get my hands on them! I don't know if we have locally made fashionable rubber boots like these though I do know that the Jessica brand at SM does have stylish rubber boots. But not as high as these.

So coffeeholics, how was your week so far? Do you wear rubber boots? If you do stumble on a good pair of fashionable rubber boots do let me know!

XOXO,

Puss, Boots, and a look at Balenciaga

I just saw this video at youtube which I found so funny that I just had to share it:

I know I know.. Puss is too cute and sexy for words! Though I doubt I would be sporting his "No Pants" Pants sometime soon. LOL. Meanwhile, I've been on the search for some boots myself. I recently bought one ankle boots which I'm super happy about. I will be posting a recent outfit post of me wearing it. I still WANT another pair of boots though coz I am about to retire my SOLO Boots as seen here. I bought it on sale (like it was 70% off!) and used it a lot. I spent a lot of precious time with those boots but now the synthetic leather is chipping off and it looks so banged up that it needs to retire now. *sniffs and wipes tears* Its one of the few mid-calf boots that actually fits me! So now I have to look for a replacement for that I went searching.. Look at what I found!

Taken from Tokyo fashion
I WANT THIS!!!
It looks super fierce and too cool for words!

I don't know if there are boots like that here but this I do know, Asian Vogue Shop has this HUGE selection of boots of any size, shape, and style! Not only that, some of the boots seems quite affordable too! Here are some of the boots that I like from their collection.

I'm making it a goal to save up to get one of these boots. I have always wanted to buy from Asian Vogue coz their boots selection is just so amazing! Oh and not just the boots, they also have lots of other cool wedges, heels, flatforms, etc so you really just have to check them out if you want to get your hands on their footwear!

For The Love of Boots | OOTD

http://www.uhsecho.com/2011/01/boots-the-ins-and-outs-at-uhs/

I have always had this fascination over boots ever since High School. I love boots and always want to wear boots even though the climate here in the Philippines is NOT conducive to wearing boots. For me, I don't care if it isn't appropriate to wear boots here! I LOVE boots and I want to wear them FOREVER! I remember Jen and Rache begging me to try out different shoe styles because I've become so enamored with my boots that I wear them almost every time that I could. Here are some boots that I'm really loving so far this year:

Loving the animal print! It's FIERCE!

I think only she can pull this off!

Miley Cyrus wearing over the knee boots when she had her concert here in the Philippines She's looking absolutely fierce and a bit more mature because of it. She also wore black socks/stockings giving an illusion of elongated legs.

Since I'm short, I tend to not wear over the knee boots. I have short legs so wearing boots that properly fit me is a challenge. Its kind of frustrating though coz I really love my boots! I want to wear boots and show them off so here is one way I showed off my mid-calf boots. I wore a black sock underneath to sort of help achieve the long boot effect I was trying to go for. I don't know if I did it right. I wanna buy a new pair soon. Should I get a bootie, tall boots, or midcalf? I'm also planning to get flat ones so I can go around the wall wearing em without feeling discomfort.
