Outfit Diary - A New Beginning

Hello Coffeeholics! Let me just formally welcome you to the year 2014! Haha chos. Yes, now that its 2014 its time to say goodbye to the old and say hello to the new. I want to face 2014 in a positive frame of mind.. body.. soul.. and spirit. :) So for this year's first entry on my outfit diary was actually taken during the Christmas Break when our family went to Tagaytay. :) If you want pretty pretty photo shoots.. this is the place!

First stop - JOSEPHINE RESTAURANT. While waiting to be served, we had some time to have pictures taken in their garden over looking the wonderful view of the Taal Volcano.
Tried to have a photo with the Taal Volcano at the back but it was too foggy. :(

Being in the city with all the concrete, the high rise buildings, and malls makes one really appreciate all these greenery and flowers and gardens here in Tagaytay. Loved it!
After having a late lunch at Josephine Restaurant, our family and I headed over to Sonya's Garden.

I so loved it there at Sonya's Garden. They have a bakery where we bought yummy cheese hopia.
They have this shop where you can buy customized furniture.
They have a restaurant and function rooms perfect for weddings. I should know.
My brother and his wife got married here.

They also have a spa which I really wanna try next time I go here.
Super bango ng spa.. we could smell the herbs and scents coming from the spa up from the stairs pa lang!

Outfit Diary - Farewell 2013

Farewell 2013 - A Year of Changes.

2013 was a year of changes. For myself and for my family.
After 23 years, we moved to a bigger house which is good!
And near my work too which makes my life a whole lot easier.
I miss my neighbors (cousins) and the nearby malls that I used to hang out.
Getting to events has become a bit harder because of my new location (sighs).
I've noticed that I stay home more often. A good thing coz I save more money. :)

My 2013 Career Life has been doing great!
As a teacher - this year were full of changes as well. New class and teacher partner.
More responsibilities but enjoying the challenge.
As a blogger - more blogging collab and opps! Many thanks to my wonderful bff shopgirl Jen who helps me keep in touch with the blogging world despite my busy life as a teacher.
Blogging highlight for me was getting more involved in the Bloggers United Power Team this year and gaining new blogger friends all over! :)

As a freelance writer / creative writing / social media manager at Odesk
Have I mentioned how much I love writing? Reading and writing has always been a passion of mine and this year I was able to put it into good use as I was able to get a regular Odesk part time job. It isn't much but its decent. I enjoy the work and what I learn from it. Hopefully I will earn more in my future contracts. hehe.

If there were happy moments for 2013 there were also sad ones. Last summer, my grandma on my father's side went on to be with the Lord. This was more poignant to me because I took part in taking care of her during her last days and I was with her when she took her last breath. It just simply boggles my mind that Lola went just like that. One moment we were talking and sharing with each other in her room, the next she was just gone. I had to learn to deal with this kind of bewildering grief. I also learned treasure the moments and memories I had with Lola coz I was able to let her know how much I love and appreciate her during the time I spent with her.
Yes 2013 reminded me to value time spent with loved ones.

Outfit Diary - Relentless Rain

Hey Coffeeholics! Yay after a loooong time I'm finally posting my outfit diary. I've been checking the calendar these past few months and I'm pretty much sure you will all agree with me that the rainy season here in the Philippines has been in full force. Since this outfit diary photo shoot was taken during a rainy Sunday afternoon, I decided to name this post Relentless Rain. In Filipino.. "Walang Tigil na Ulan" oh ha! hehe. Pagbigyan!

To tell you the truth, I don't mind the rain that much. In fact, I really like it when it rains and drizzles as compared to the scorching heat of the sun. I like the rain ONLY if it just stays in a drizzle like here. When the weather is cool and drizzling, the major thing that I wanna do during that time is stay at home, snuggle under my blanket, and sleeeeeep.. hehe. Yeah but since it was a Sunday, and I wasn't at home, nag picture picture na lang kasi may time. haha!

Have I mentioned how much I loooove boots? Kung pwede lang isuot araw araw haha!

My S&H Boots.. BOW. I want to buy a new pair of boots.. soon!

Dress - H&M
Gray Animal Print Scarf - gifted
Umbrella - SM Accessories
Boots - S & H

Anyway, I had fun in this photo shoot! Many thanks to shopgirljen and fashionist architect who helped take photos and get the cool angles for me. Thank you dears for your patience! hehe. Anyway, speaking of rain, let's pray really hard that this super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) won't devastate our country. According to the news it will make contact on Philippine soil tonight! Hala! Kaya pray pray pray that it won't leave many of our kababayans homeless and in peril. Stay prayerful and stay safe guys!

Outfit Diary - Crazy Lines Crazy Times

 Top - Thrifted :)
Denim Jeans - Bench
Necklace - My sister's
Bag and Wristband - SM Accessories (Men's)
Shades- @Tangerineph
Brown Boots - Nine West

Hey Coffeeholics! Its been a while since I've posted an outfit shot so here's one of my outfit posts a few weeks back. As you all know, I have a day job as a teacher. Hence the sensei in my name. So the faculty of our school had to attend this leadership seminar (from which I've learned a lot). Since it was one of the rare times I could wear a different outfit during teacher mode, I decided to wear this.

One of my dilemmas as a blogger teacher is trying to get out of the "teacher look" stigma. In all honesty, I hate uniforms that make me look like a teacher (hala self denial? HAHA. di po ah!) coz frankly and bluntly speaking, teacher uniforms are ugly. (*cries*) My "fashion" blogger persona is greatly offended by the uniform. Hehe. So I rejoice when we are allowed to wear something presentable but still "professional" looking when I'm on teacher mode.

So I decided to go with this look. With my body type, structured polos are flattering. So when I found this polo at my favorite thrift shop (yes I will talk about Ukayukay soon. haha.) Super natuwa ako. I felt like I was wearing "cappuccino" please don't ask me why. It was the first thing that popped in my mind when I saw that top. Why I'm so crazy about the top is its crazy lines. It messes your vision. Its a psychedelic optical illusion! hehe. Diba? When you close up and zoom in on my outfit shots, the lines look neat and clean. When zoomed out, it looks like an optical illusion! Sabi nga ng isa kong friend, nakakahilo nga tingnan ang blouse ko sa malayo. Haha. Cool. All the more to distract you from my lovehandles dears! haha.

Also recently, I've been into SM Accessories' Men's Collection. I really love the black bag that I got. Even though it was made for men, gals can use it too! Its roomy and somewhat rain proof which we need now due to the rainy season. Also love the leather wristbands that can be found at SM Accessories' Men's Collection. Yes I kinda like those as well. :) SM Accessories is on SALE this month! So don't forget to check out SM Accessories at all the malls nationwide, maybe the accessories that you've been dying to have has been marked down. :) Don't miss out on that opportunity! :)  Read more about the SM Accessories Sale here.

Outfit Posts with my co-teachers! :)
So Coffeeholics! Do you wear a uniform or not? What's your opinion about uniforms? Do you think a student will respect the teacher more if they are wearing uniforms? Anyway, these are just some questions running in my head. What I wanna know is your opinion! Watcha think? Do comment below and let me know!  :)
