A Taste of Tasmanian Salmon at the Fireplace

Hey Coffeeholics! Wanna try something new? Why not a taste of Tasmanian Salmon from The Fireplace at The Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila.

A TASTE of TASMANIAN SALMON

MANILA, THE PHILIPPINES – Famous for its superior quality and fresh flavor, The Fireplace introduces Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon with an exquisitely crafted menu by Chef Noel showcasing its fine texture and taste.

Native of the pristine unpolluted waters of Tasmania, this famed Atlantic Salmon makes up only around 1.5% of the world’s salmon production. Enriched with omega-3 and proteins, discover the richness of this Atlantic salmon variety with selections like Roasted Herbs Crusted Salmon with Creamy Spinach , Peppered Salmon Steak with Cognac Pepper Cream Sauce and more.

The perfect sweet conclusion is the luscious Hot Chocolate Soup. A signature dessert at the Fireplace, this rich, velvety and creamy dark chocolate is topped with a scoop of cracked pepper vanilla ice-cream, a unique chocolate creation that has a reputation of its own.

Hey Coffeeholics! Its been a while. Finally after several weeks in moving in our new house, we have wifi! wooohoo! I've been surviving theses past few weeks on mobile internet which has been awesome but not good enough for blogging. Anyway as my kickoff for April, I'm blogging about the outfit that I wore for our School's Recognition/Graduation day. Yep, we always dress up for our Recognition day and its really wonderful to see everyone wearing fabulous clothing besides our uniforms. I originally planned to wear black (hahaha.. black is always flattering! LOL) but when I saw this dress I couldn't resist! Its soooo blue that it felt soooo cool to wear for a daytime event plus perfect for the withering hot weather. It was pretty plain but became the perfect thing to set off my beautiful gold and white necklace thanks to SM ACCESSORIES! I absolutely loved it and everyone who saw me couldn't help admiring my necklace too.

Anyway I'm absolutely fascinated with blue recently. Maybe the color is helping me to feel cool (grabe ang ineeeeet noh?) since I couldn't wear blue clothing everyday I decided my nails would just have to do. For some reason, this particular shade of blue reminds me of swimming in a pool! LOL.

Anyway just in case you don't know it yet, SM Accessories is on instagram! Follow and be updated on what's latest from SM Accessories - the fashion authority. Have a great day!

Support Earth Hour with Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila

Hey Coffeeholics! Its probably all over the news now but just in case you don't know yet, today is the day we start the EARTH HOUR event! I have been actively participating in this event for many years now and I feel so proud that I can be part of something this big to help "save" our planet, raise awareness, and improve our environment. I know our country has been actively participating in Earth Hour and this year, as part of the brand’s signature corporate social responsibility campaign, Thrive, Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila proudly participates in Earth Hour’s annual global campaign by turning the lights off for an hour on 23 March from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

As a gesture of support, the hotel is turning off exterior lights and minimizing non-essential lighting in all public areas and offices, as well as stopping the escalator for an hour.  To add a touch of charm to this event, a romantic candlelit dinner experience awaits diners in all the outlets, especially at The Fireplace where premium steak and wine is the main draw. Guests can also enjoy Room Service in an evening picnic setting with the family in their own room, as well as being pampered at the candlelit Spa at Club Oasis.  Aside from these activities, all in-house guests are urged to participate by reducing their power usage during this hour.

A limited-edition offer at the Pastry Boutique throughout March allows guests to go the extra mile in saving the earth by purchasing a pair of panda cupcakes for only P400 net, with a P60 donation to the World Wildlife Fund and Earth Hour for every pair sold.  Inspired by the World Wildlife Fund mascot, they are made of a chocolate cupcake base with coconut cake and Oreo biscuits, offering a triple treat of luscious goodness.

Dimming the lights on 23 March is not only an exciting tradition at Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila, it’s also an opportunity to experience the hotel and restaurants in a different light.

For enquiries and reservations, please call the hotel’s food and beverage reservations centre on +63 2 247 8666.  Alternatively, e-mail cath.mn@hyatt.com or make restaurant reservations online by visiting manila.casino.hyatt.com.

About Earth Hour
Earth Hour is a worldwide event organised since 2007 by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and held annually towards the end of March, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

So what about you? How are you gonna spend Earth Hour? Encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to participate and TURN OFF THE LIGHTS as we all do our best to take action on climate change.
